Accounts Payable Manager

  • Performs high volume accounts payable activities in a fast-paced environment in program management office on large global contract with large volume of subcontract and vendor work.

  • Supports and leads process improvements

  • Assist with reviewing policies – and implementation of policy updates

  • Provides backup support to the travel team (expense reporting)–participating in cross-functional team environment

  • Develops, prepares, and coordinates self-governance findings and metrics with appropriate management personnel.

  • Assists with developing internal AP forecasting short term and review of trends over the long term

  • Works with both internal and external customers to resolve invoicing issues

  • Responds to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status

  • Coordinates purchase order changes with Procurement.

  • Processes and or approves wire payments in USD and foreign currencies

  • Maintains and reconciles accounts payable

  • Miscellaneous projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years successful experience performing accounts payable responsibilities

  • Very strong attention to detail

  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office (including excel) and Outlook. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred (Cognos Reporting)

  • Knowledgeable with accounting applications, (Deltek, Costpoint familiarity is a plus)

  • Candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work independently

  • Candidate must be professional, responsible and organized

  • Candidate must be flexible; managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
