Business Areal Leader, DoD Logistics (Vice President)
The Business Area Leader for our Logistics business area will be a visible role model of leadership, managerial excellence, and integrity and will fulfill the following:
Develop and execute the strategic growth plan for the business area. Identify and prioritize new market pursuits. Develops and executes against plan and aggressively leads organization into targeted market sectors for organic growth.
Responsible for profit/loss management and project execution of assigned operations programs.
Develop and maintain a close relationship with the key customers in the business area to understand customer requirements, plans, goals and concerns in order to develop new business growth.
Responsible for and personally owns at least one key customer responsible for the growth of the business area
Ensures that the other key customers responsible for growth in the business area have an individual specifically identified to own the relationship of that customer.
Develop strategies for future market changes and assess the likely impact on customers to identify growth opportunities and trends in domestic and international markets.
Ensures that the business is conducted with the highest standards of safety, ethics and integrity while maintaining the financial strength of the company.
Drives strategy and decisions, review, and approval of business plans and special teaming arrangements for new business opportunities of major significance to the company.
Work closely and communicate regularly with the PAE Executive Management Team to develop the goals and objectives of the business to include appropriate measures of performance.
Oversee the implementation of plans in attaining strategic business objectives and other corporate strategies.
Maintain a close rapport with senior leadership of all customers, teaming partners to obtain the earliest possible identification of business opportunities.
Foster a strong financial discipline throughout the business unit and measure appropriate internal metrics to gauge operational and financial performance with appropriate level of risk mitigation.
Build a strong and high performing leadership team and oversee the process of selection, motivation, development and recognition of senior leadership.

The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:
Credibility with external constituents, specifically with the Department of Defense. The candidate should have a developed network of relevant contacts in this customer set.
An experienced leader with a creative and innovative style, capable of developing strategic new business opportunities within the boundaries of prudent risk.
A proven ability to make tough, reasoned and sound decisions in a very dynamic business environment.
A successful record as a general manager in the government services market and a proven ability to profitably grow a business during various stages of company development and industry cycles.
A broad based understanding and knowledge of Logistics operations support
Service sector background with a focus on Logistics services, understanding of the business cycles of this capability set.
A verifiable track record of accomplishments as an operations and growth executive with companies that experienced significant growth.
A strong communicator and effective spokesman who can translate vision to the employees and can represent the company in many venues.
Be able to attract, motivate and retain top business talent. He/she must be an individual of the highest ethical and moral standards.
Ability and skills necessary to motivate employees at all levels of the organization. He/she will have a personal style that generates high levels of confidence and inspires teamwork and customer focus. In addition, he/she must have a style that fosters a "can-do" attitude and a sense of trust and integrity.
Strong sense of urgency with a disposition to effect change when required.

Education and experience to include a four year degree in an appropriate field and 10 to 15 years of related business experience
MBA or other advanced degree is preferable
