Warehouse Material Coordinator - ARA

The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.

Responsible for stocking of the Retail Warehouse and transfer of inventory and materials to the ARA facilities on the AUTEC Project.


  • Ordering of all goods and materials for all ARA Facilities, adding new items to the computers Inventory Data System.

  • Updating all costs of incoming product, maintaining a consistent profit margin.

  • Stocking Warehouse materials and goods

  • Routing and delivery of goods and materials to operating locations.

  • Verify materials against receiving documents.

  • Examining materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

  • Storing and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed warehouse methods.

  • Operates hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

  • Performs duties of Shipper and Receiver when necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • 0-2 years related experience working in Warehouse environment.

  • Experience operating a forklift and cargo truck preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License and passport will be required.

  • Organized to make sure tasks are easy to track.

  • Basic Math Skills to read conversion tables.

  • Knowledge of metric measurement system.

  • Team oriented environment.

  • Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Climb ladders and trailers up to 10 feet

  • Ability to lift hands over head to move boxes

  • Crawl in small spaces

  • Normal hearing profile to ensure safety.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

  • This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required
