Airfield Manager

• Oversee and coordinate of airfield operations and services.

• Administer services to ensure a safe, efficient and effective airfield environment for FOL operations IAW AFI 11-201, AFI 11-208_IP, AFI 11-218, AFI 13-204 Vols 2 and 3, AFI 13- 213, and AFI 91-202. Ensure minimum daily inspections and checks of the airfield IAW AFI 13-204, Vol 3.

• Coordinate with airfield support entities, such as civil engineer, safety, maintenance, transportation, command and control, air traffic control, and emergency response agencies, in order to support aircraft operations and correct deficiencies on the airfield.

• Liaise between FOL site and host nation airport, serve on boards and airfield related forums and brief

• airfield management services, as required.

• Provide input, guidance and solutions at meetings concerning U.S. owned facilities and areas, air operations and airfield construction projects.

• Other airfield management requirements include, but are not limited to, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) management, BASH response and mitigation, Airfield Driving program management, Airfield and Airspace Waiver coordination, Mission Planning Support, disseminating and tracking Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), and providing Flight Information Publications (FLIP).

­ Must be able to complete and maintain certification to operate a vehicle on the airfield, to include meeting all color vision testing requirements in order to operate a vehicle in the controlled movement area.

­ Complete/sustain Airfield Driving CBTs.

­ Complete the following computer based training within 30 days of appointment. Government will provide links for the following courses:

-- Airfield Criteria, Standards and Facilities

-- Airfield Inspections and Maintenance

-- Wildlife Hazard Management

-- Flight Line Driving

¬ Accomplish refresher training yearly by 31 January

­ 5-yrs Supervisor or Manager executing duties IAW AFI 13-204 Vol 3 at military or civilian airport.

­ Must have at least 3 years supervisory and/or management level training and experience planning, organizing and executing AM duties outlined in AFI 13-204 Vol 3 at a military or civil airport.

­ Must have the ability to use wildlife control devices

­ Familiar with USAF, DOD requirements and policies for airfield management

­ Minimum of Associate’s in area of expertise required by the T/O or related discipline AND 3 to 10 years of experience in BOTH the technical area(s) of expertise required by the T/O AND organizing and managing technical facets of the specified area(s) OR

4-14 years of experience in BOTH the technical area(s) of expertise required by the T/O AND organizing and managing technical facets of the specified area(s)
