WEAT Software Quality Assurance Tester (QA)/ EOD Specialist

PAE is currently seeking a WEAT Software Quality Assurance Tester (QA)/EOD Specialist for their Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division (NSWDD) customer site location

Clearance: SECRET

Must be able to deploy to Afghanistan or other specified (Areas of Operation) AOR’s if required to support the mission

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in the design, development, modification, maintenance and documentation of a Cold Fusion database (WEAT)

Maintain current databases and their operational capabilities

Assist the government in the installation of additional instances of the WEAT database at other locations

Assist in planning, programming, installation, testing and transition of current WEAT capabilities

Assist in the training of WEAT users

Assist with WEAT documentation, software and database fixes and network administration

Assist with the WEAT documentation consisting of System Identification Profile (SIP), DIACAP Implementation Plan (DIP), DIACAP Scorecard and Plan of Action & Milestones

Requirements:

Physical ability and commitment to deploy globally as a team member

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, excel spreadsheets

Skilled communicators who can clearly articulate/communicate via email, telephone calls and video teleconferencing

Desired Education and Experience include but are not limited to the following specialties:

Five (5) years of military EOD experience, including experience in the analysis and documentation of design, construction techniques and practices of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and formal EOD training as provided by US Army or US Navy Explosive, Ordnance, Disposal Schools.

Knowledge and experience in testing features/ functional components of databases and applications

Working knowledge of the WEAT database as an operational forward deployed OCONUS user

Familiar with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies

Familiar with Product Life Cycles

Experience logging bugs, and writing/following test plans and test cases

Experience testing on multiple platforms (Windows, etc.)

Any development knowledge, education, or experience is a plus (Cold Fusion, PHP, JavaScript, C, Java, etc.)

DoD IAT Level 2 Certified preferred

Experience working with a CEXC, WTI, C-IED Team, JEFF, TEDAC facility, other NGIC, DoD or ATF Lab; interagency or state/local law enforcement lab preferred

Familiar with the approved procedures, as defined by the Combined Explosive Exploitation Cell (CEXC) standard operating procedures, to perform inspections of ordnance components and related items once certified as Inert by EOD technicians. This inspection shall be for the purpose of documenting construction techniques and practices for entry into the WEAT tool.

Certifications and Other Qualifications:

U.S. citizenship

Valid US Passport that will not expire throughout deployment

Active DoD SECRET security clearance
