Logistics Support Administrator

Overview:

  • Maintain vendor communications for tracking, updating and expediting repairs and purchases to meet program schedules and priorities.

  • Compiles and maintains material/parts inventory/status information to expedite the movement of material.

  • Works with various vendors, sites and Procurement to revise PO/quotes and provide up to date status.

  • Reports to the Aviation Logistics Manager

  • Must be customer and detailed oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains an organized documentation file necessary to effectively research all transactions.

  • Updates logistics/material in both the CARMAC/Cost Point7 systems.

  • Prepares and submits required reports to management.

  • Monitor and assist with the managing of PMO shipping accounts, vendor invoice issues and other items that affect the flow of material.

  • Requisitions civil aviation parts as well as general supplies and equipment as necessary.

  • Maintain certain CDRLS monthly.

  • Work with Procurement and AP to reconcile errors/issues with requisitions/PO’s.

  • Assist with maintaining AP invoice issues

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires 2 years supply/warehouse experience in receiving, shipping or inventory control; preferably in an aircraft maintenance environment, military or commercial aviation.

  • Have proven proficiency in data entry.

  • Analytical abilities necessary to read, interpret and comply with written and/or oral instructions and regulations.

  • Working knowledge and ability to use warehouse equipment, to include, forklift and loading/unloading devices.

  • Must be able to accurately type a minimum 25 wpm.

  • Have the physical ability to lift and handle light to average weight material.

  • May be required to have a security clearance and passport in the performance of duties.

  • Must be a US citizen and completed high school or equivalent.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Demands:

This classification’s activities range from, an office-like environment with extensive sitting demands to a flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to a flight line environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards.
