THIS SCA POSITION PAYS $16.24/HOUR WITH AN ADDITIONAL $4.27 PROVIDED HEALTH AND WELFARE
Job Description: Supports the DOJ EOIR Board of Immigration Appeals. Responsibilities/Duties. Under the supervision of records manager, performs routine record center support functions such as pulling files, creating folders, labeling, re-filing documents and shelving; packing boxes and preparing them for shipment; bates stamping; ordering supplies; retrieving case materials; completing log sheets; answering phones; logging messages; faxing information, etc. Prepares documents for storage or for further data processing (i.e., imaging, microfilming). Assembles/disassembles documents as required, taking care to ensure that original documents are reassembled exactly to their original state. Maintains inventory/control records. Performs simple typing assignments using word processing equipment and manual typewriters.
Ability to successfully complete an extensive government background check
At least two years’ experience in records/information services
Must be detail oriented, dependable, and able to do routine work along with organizational skills
Basic computer skills, data entry experience
Four or more years of mail or general office experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
