Technical Writer

  • Analyze and evaluate the RFP

  • Participate in the proposal Kick Off meeting and reoccurring status calls, and throughout the proposal development, provide and facilitate effective and timely communication with the core team and other stakeholders, including keeping the capture/proposal apprised of activities and any concerns, significant risks or issues

  • Read and interpret the solicitation to identify requirements for a compliant and responsive submission, and convey those to the team members responsible for content generation, formatting or other preparation such as template customization

  • Participate in focus groups, strategy sessions and proposal meetings

  • Manage the total input of all writing contributions to the technical volume; this will include direction and oversight of writing accomplished from teaming partners.

  • Work with Capture Team, SME’s and teaming partners to develop and write portions of the technical volume in a complaint and compelling manner

  • Have availability to work evenings and weekends

  • Participate in technical proposal review teams

  • The individual shall support business and cost estimate development efforts as requested. Activities may include: contributions to proposal preparation, proposal reviews, development of a cost model and post-submission follow-up, including revisions and orals. Depending on requirements, contractor tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Analysis/comment on draft/final solicitation

  • Input to corporate/team briefings from review findings

  • Development of proposal highlights, i.e., themes, discriminators, features/benefits, etc.

  • Support of proposal reviews/corrective action and re-writes.
