AW Research Analyst

Job Summary: Provide research expertise to use and analyze intelligence, technology, and other assets to predict asymmetric threats and activities, to include researching historical and current AW techniques.

Responsibilities: Review and make recommendations to AWG priorities and changes to personnel between groups/projects based on the most current AW techniques and the specialized skills of personnel. Studying technical literature, attends and participates in technical societies, meetings, and symposia, and corresponds with other professionals to keep informed of current developments in the technical field. Performs special studies and analyses on AW areas as required by the Squadron leadership. Make recommendations to the AWG Government personnel for resolution. Conducts studies and market research on emerging technologies and develop plans to continuously optimize technology for improving future capabilities to defeat asymmetric threats. ICW AWG Government personnel, providing operational analyses and assessments to TSM function through Interagency Liaison support.

Qualifications/Experience: At a minimum should have at least five (5) years of relevant experience with either the U.S. military or other federal government agency(ies) that demonstrates the ability to meet the duties described above with an emphasis on the ability to use and analyze intelligence, technology and other assets to predict asymmetric threats and activities. Demonstrated experience should include activities that integrate intelligence to contribute to a clearer understanding of enemy personnel, equipment, infrastructure, TTPs, support mechanisms or other actions in order to forecast specific enemy asymmetric operations directed against U.S. interests. Must maintain physical fitness and be able to pass the APFT on a no-notice or semiannual basis.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.

Clearance: DOD issued TOP SECRET SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION (SCI) or eligible to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
