PAE, Inc Training Coordinator in Multiple Locations, Iraq

The Training Coordinator will be responsible for executing all aspects of the training and development program and its associated processes, programs, and products at the UNION III compound (UN3). Work is generally conducted in an office or classroom / lecture hall / theater environment. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in certain situations. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and local regulations and published company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. This position will be located at the Union III compound in Baghdad, Iraq and will report to the Site Manager. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
Manage, conduct, and coordinate the various training assignments for the OMSS (Operations Maintenance Support Services and Baghdad Life Support Services (BLiSS) contract at the UNION III compound.
Conduct training need assessments and surveys for the Baghdad task orders.
Plan and coordinate personnel training and staff development programs including leadership development, supervisory training, and technical training.
Maximize the skills and training expertise within the program to ensure needed training is accomplished in the most cost-effective manner.
Develop, conduct, and track training program (and course completions) for a variety of technical and non-technical subject.
Responsible for on-time completion of all required / compliance training.
Assist Managers and Supervisors with the identification of training requirements and resources for employee development.
Maintain the Training Database and Individual Training Records.
Coordinate, manage implementation, and monitor / track of all customer required training.
Ensure processes and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs) related to training are developed, updated, and current.
Be responsible for all course content presentation: Conduct training that includes at a minimum, internal processes, corporate compliance and regulations, engineering and technical, security, environmental safety and health (ESH), ethics, quality, and leadership / supervision.
Prepare training materials, slides, handouts, etc. for dissemination.
Maintain currency on new technical innovations in the training environment.
Operate personal computer and utilizes software programs, spreadsheets, databases, and maintain all multimedia equipment for the conduct of delivery of training utilizing these resources.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
Three (3) years of work experience with an emphasis in training.
Three (3) years of work experience in a multi-cultural overseas environment.
Proven experience utilizing Multimedia in conduct of training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong classroom presentation skills.
Expert knowledge at the intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint software programs.
Ability to instruct in all areas of OSHA safety topics
Ability to lift/push and/or pull up to and including 25 lbs.; other activities may involve continuous sitting, walking or standing.
Education: A high school diploma or GED.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers’ license from Home of Record.
Security Vetting: Already possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract.
Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills.
Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required.
Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination.
Previous out of home country experience is highly desirable and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
Experience working with PAE.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting ESH training functions at an overseas facility.
Experience providing excellent customer services.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:
This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
