Position Title: Project Work Professional

Purpose of the Position
- Responsible for planning, resource management and scheduling of all work on SACOM.Participate in cross-functional team meetings to develop scope delivery and coordinate across multiple disciplines to achieve the plans.Design project/program/core requirements schedules of data in all project life cycles.Schedule and maintain knowledge of all key project milestones.Administer projects from conceptualization to implementation and evaluate all issues.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities of the Position
Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.
Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams and for integration into a Master SACOM Schedule.
Assess impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action.
Analyze change orders/revisions to task orders for schedule impacts.
Resource load schedules and work with Project Managers to status and perform jobsite walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities as needed.
At the completion of the project, develop and record the project’s historical schedule information and “lessons learned” for future use.
Basic knowledge and understanding of Maximo work flow.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Three or more years as a Project Planner/Scheduler professional
Experience working with tactical and strategic planning
Experience working with project management software
Experience with publishing project schedules and resource allocation schedules, enabling consistent high on time delivery of requirements
Must be a U. S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.

- Dexterity to operate office and field equipment as required by position.
- Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.
