Avionics / Electrical Technician
Build, Install, Repair aircraft components and ground support equipment in accordance with company, instructions, policies and procedures
Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs
Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities
Will be cross utilized to perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance and preventative maintenance
Install and Repair electrical system components.
Read, interpret, and comply with all aircraft manuals,
Properly tag parts to identify description, part number, serial number, and the aircraft that it was removed from
Properly use and operate support equipment in performance of assigned duties
Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Experience with hand tools, and hand power tools.
Precision measurement devices.
Electrical test equipment experience.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
requires education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency as well as two or more years' experience in aviation or electronics. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders
skill with the operations of precision measurement devices.
Experience in flight test, ideally with VTOL aircraft.
Technical degree in mechanic/electrical or equivalent experience
Education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency as well as two or more years' experience in aviation or electronics.
Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Competent in Excel, Outlook, Word.
Able to travel and provide hands on support for large aircraft development activities.
Business hours except for travel and occasional extended shift meetings and development testing.
