PAE has an exciting opportunity for a Help Desk located in Washington, DC.


To provide personnel and administrative support services for a federal client. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Administers the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigative Processing (e-QIP) help desk program throughout the Agency’s nationwide program as overseen by a Federal senior staff member.

  • Processes user account requests and terminations, acts as a conduit to implement program policy modifications and changes, and facilitates training agency users.

  • Reviews e-QIP requests for accuracy and provides technical assistance to the applicant.

  • Answers telephone calls and responds to incoming e-mail messages.

  • Logs all records of communication with applicants and/or appointees into Microsoft Excel or an Access Database.

  • Prepares and submits reports based on agency e-QIP activity.

  • Serves as a point of reference for staff members regarding the monitoring and maintenance of case-material.

  • Provides timely responses to all calls/emails for e-QIP related support. This includes, but is not limited, to assisting applicants, appointees and/or their Government/private sector representative encountering e-QIP related issues.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the e-QIP system in order to adequately respond to e-QIP related inquiries.

  • Elevates system-wide and case specific e-QIP related issues to the appropriate parties.

  • Assures a high degree of customer satisfaction related to all Customer Service Help Desk activities. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting themselves in a professional, courteous and respectful manner at all times.

  • Maintains personnel security reference materials and agency policy and procedures.

  • Operates office equipment (e.g., computers, facsimile machines, copiers, scanners, printers, and phone systems).

  • Position hours are from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Shift hours are non-negotiable.

Required Qualification

  • The minimum experience and education requirements for this position are:

  • With a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree this position requires no experience.

  • With a High School Diploma this position requires one year of relevant experience performing administrative support functions.

  • With no High School diploma this position requires two years of relevant experience performing administrative support functions.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Programs and desktop publishing software and hardware.

  • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • All applicants must be able to obtain a government security clearance; position requires U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bilingual (Spanish).

  • Familiarity with e-QIP, CVS, PIPS/JPAS, ISMS and other security products.

  • Professional customer service experience.

  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
