Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Travel Team

  • This is travel role - you will be assigned to a team that works in various locations throughout the US according to the needs of the customer.

  • Determine the overall mechanical condition of vehicles and equipment, correction of deficiencies required, and effects repair.

  • Systematically analyze malfunctions by visual and auditory examination or through the use of test equipment.

  • Use diagnostic test equipment to accurately diagnose and repair assigned electronic controlled equipment.

  • Repair, adjust, overhaul, or replace major assemblies or sub-assemblies such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering assemblies, tracks, hydraulic system components, and equipment attachments.

  • May be required to remove, disassemble, and repair gasoline or diesel engines and components.

  • Repair components by replacing worn or damaged parts with new or reconditioned parts, grinding, fitting, balancing, or arranging for welding or machining. The HEM shall reassemble, adjust, and test repaired units for proper operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in functions such as inspecting, repairing , or maintaining general purpose vehicles light and heavy duty construction equipment.

  • Certified in specific trade, or maintenance journeyman/master technician

  • This is a travel role. You will work with your team at various geographic locations throughout the United States based on the needs of the customer.

  • Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English
