HR Manager

Summary/Objective

Human Resource Representative is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of human resources and labor relation functions at multiple locations.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.

  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

  • Develop and maintains VETS-4212 (Formally VETS-100 reports); files VETS- VETS-4212 reports annually.

  • Conducts audits of various HR programs and recommends any corrective action.

  • Updates Workday as needed with employee change requests and processes paperwork.

  • Coordinates Disciplinary Review Committee meetings with program, legal and HR personnel.

  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains HR policies and procedures.

  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.

  • Maintains HR organization charts and employee directory as needed.

  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.

  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

  • Arranges and schedules meetings between grieving workers, supervisory and managerial personnel, and Business Representative, Labor Union, to investigate and resolve grievances. May represent management in labor contract negotiations. Will plan for and develop both noneconomic and economic parameters for negotiations. Have a knowledge of processing security requirements in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

  • Should have knowledge of government contracting operations within the Service Contract Act. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

  • Ability to travel stateside and overseas to support the projects as needed.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel

  • This position will require supporting multiple locations and travel will be required.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related discipline; or other related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification desired.

  • Experience writing and administering employment agreements.

  • Three years experience in a functional capacity within an HR department is essential.
