Recruiter

This Associate Recruiter role supports PAE’s National Security Solutions business unit. This business unit provides a range of critical services for US Government. The Associate Recruiter will provide recruiting support to a number of programs within this business unit.

This position is responsible for posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing talent for the organization. In addition to Recruiting tasks, this position may provide administrative support to other Recruiters in the business unit in the areas of scheduling drug screens, initiating background checks, and writing offer letters.

The ideal candidate will be a constant learner who always strives to do more by learning more. To be successful in this role, individuals must be expert hunters, able to thrive in volume, quickly become knowledgeable in our business space, confident, and capable of counseling hiring managers. This individual must strike a balance between high volume recruiting and providing a world class candidate experience.

Essential duties include:

  • Responsible for a req-load of 30 – 60 active requisitions depending on complexity of the roles recruited for

  • Consults with hiring managers, crafts detailed job descriptions, determines effective screening questions, and posts requisitions

  • Sources talent by utilizing the ATS, job boards, postings, and referrals

  • Consults with candidates from the very first phone call, follows a set of general talking points to ensure candidates are consistently informed and prepared, spends additional time based on candidate need

  • Screens talent to ensure candidates are:

  • Technically qualified, cultural fits

  • Vetted for their interest in the role (location, compensation, etc.)

  • Able and prepared to deploy on the required timeline and take information requirements seriously

  • Follows key candidate conversations with planned communication templates and infographics to ensure candidates are well prepared to swiftly move through the deployment process

  • Submits applicants to hiring manager and schedules interviews, assists hiring manager in decision process

  • Consults with candidates on the deployment process, prepares them, so they can quickly complete an eQip for a government security investigation and other pre-deployment documents

  • Works with Pre-deployment coordinators to assist where needed, also periodically follows up with candidates in the deployment process to ensure engagement and reduce drop-off

  • Attends/conducts meetings for hiring managers with or on behalf of the Recruiting Manager

  • May recruit for proposal efforts in addition to funded requisitions

Performance Objectives:

  • Within six months, develop a thorough knowledge of the business unit structure, the government clients and missions we support, and PAE’s internal Recruiting Process.

  • Distribute at least five qualified resumes to the hiring manager within one week of a requisition opening (on-going)

  • Maintain a time-to-offer average of 30 days or less for open positions (on-going)

  • Maintain a time to fill average of 65 days or less for open positions (on-going)

Essential Training Provided:

  • Recruiter training on program talking points and follow up documentation

  • ATS Training

  • General overview training of all post-offer sub-processes

  • Security training (cross training in order to describe eQip process and answer simple eQip questions)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field

  • Two or more years of recruiting experience in the government contracting industry; experience in a pre-deployment or recruiting coordinator role will be considered

  • Experience in a high volume recruiting environment, agency experience preferred

  • High level of business acumen, understands program operations and finance and how this role contributes to that

  • Confident and capable of respectfully pushing back with hiring managers

  • Motivated to excel, competitive in nature, can-not-fail attitude, does not confuse “effort” with “results”

  • Expert Boolean searcher, active recruiter who goes out and finds passive candidates

  • Excellent sales skills, persuasive, and charismatic

  • Great organizer, on top of all issues and does not waste time presenting weak candidates

  • Solutions oriented and creative, out of the box thinker, identifies ways of working smartly

  • Proficient with Microsoft office Suite, including Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
