Lead Recruiter

This Lead Recruiter role supports our corporate office functions and reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. This position will be located in Ashburn, Virginia.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of this industry and will develop expert knowledge of PAE. To be successful in this role, the individual must be an expert hunter, be able to thrive in volume and have knowledgeable in our business space. This individual must strike a balance between recruiting and providing a world class candidate experience. This position is responsible for posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing talent.

Essential duties include:

  • Responsible for a req-load of 20-25 active requisitions

  • Consults with hiring managers, crafts detailed job descriptions, determines effective screening questions, and posts requisitions

  • Sources talent by utilizing the ATS, job boards, postings, and referrals

  • Submits applicants to hiring manager and schedules interviews, assists hiring manager in decision process

  • Supports tracking of identified recruiting metrics for corporate positions and responsible for aggregating metrics being managed across the business units for company oversight.

  • Serves as lead liaison to ensure the company career site is updated and designed to attract top candidates.

  • Provide vendor relationship and license management over various sourcing sites and responsible for distributing allocated licenses to business units.

  • Works closely with the accounting organization to manage the recruiting budget.

  • Lead and coordinate company-wide job fairs as needed.

  • Participate in company due diligence mergers & acquisition efforts.

  • Provide guidelines on best interviewing and hiring practices to ensure recruiting is remaining compliant, both internally and externally. Assist in the development and training efforts to ensure education of recruiters across PAE.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field

  • Seven plus years of full life-cycle recruiting experience; additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Experience in a high volume recruiting environment, agency experience welcomed

  • High level of business acumen, understands program operations and finance and how this role contributes to that

  • Confident and capable of respectfully consulting with hiring managers

  • Motivated to excel, competitive in nature, can-not-fail attitude, does not confuse “effort” with “results”

  • Expert Boolean searcher, active recruiter who goes out and finds passive candidates

  • Excellent sales skills, persuasive, and charismatic

  • Solutions oriented and creative, out of the box thinker, identifies ways of working smartly and proactively

  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and ideally Workday.
