Recruiting Manager

The Recruiting Manager will lead the recruiting team for the BPO business area within PAE's National Security Solutions (NSS) Business Unit. Reporting to the leader of the NSS Recruiting function, the Recruiting Manager will partner closely with the Vice President of the business area and other functional partners to understand the current and future program and staffing requirements and ensure that the BPO recruiting strategies will meet those requirements. This individual will lead a large team of recruiters and will be responsible for managing performance, motivating the team, and ensuring effective communication between the recruiters and all stakeholders. The Recruiting Manager will be responsible for driving performance across the BPO recruiting organization and ensuring that performance metrics are met or exceeded. This individual will allocate recruiting resources across the BPO business area and will assign resources to best meet business needs. S/he will collaborate with peers across NSS to share recruiting resources as needed. S/he will implement referral programs and other initiatives to improve results. This individual will serve as a resource for the team and will train others on best practices.

The candidate must have an exceptional level of customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively to meet mission requirements. S/he must demonstrate consultative skills and the ability to push back confidently and tactfully when needed. This individual must demonstrate the ability to motivate their team to achieve the goals and metrics determined for the BPO recruiting organization.

Essential duties include:

  • Managing a large recruiting team and ensuring that recruiting resources are allocated appropriately across the business

  • Providing exceptional recruiting support to the business area and ensuring that key performance objectives and metrics are met

  • Partnering effectively with the VP, functional leaders, peers, and key stakeholders across the business area and across NSS to meet mission requirements

  • Ensuring that recruiting vacancies are filled rapidly to minimize disruptions to the business

  • Validating the recruiting team is utilizing the most effective methods of sourcing and screening candidates; confirm effective distribution of licenses and other recruiting tools

  • Utilizing and sharing best practices from across the organization to enhance recruiting productivity and candidate experience

  • Motivating the recruiting team to succeed

  • Determining appropriate recruiting strategies to maximize quality candidate throughput (job fairs, open houses, community outreach, etc.)

  • Confirming attendance and recruiter participation and effectiveness at all recruiting events

  • Managing requisitions for high visibility roles across BPO or as needed

This position may be located in either Ashburn, VA or Falls Church, VA. Some local travel between facilities will be required.

US Citizenship required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight or more years of recruiting experience in the government contracting industry

  • Experience in a high-volume recruiting environment

  • Sound technical recruiting skills and proficiency with recruiting tools and resources

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated track record of improvement in recruiting performance metrics

  • Experience in training other staff and sharing best practices

  • High level of business acumen, understanding of program operations and finance and how this role contributes to those functions

  • Confident and capable of collaborating effectively with senior leaders and functional peers

  • Solutions oriented and creative, out of the box thinker, identifies ways of working smartly
