In this role, you will assist with maintaining the integrity of security processes and procedures, and process individual security clearances and VAR’s in a timely and accurate manner. This is a great opportunity for a junior Security professional looking to gain valuable experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will:
Initiate and submit SF-85P or SF-86 using JPAS or OPM Portal
Provide critical review of SF-85P and SF-86’s for candidates and working with candidates to make corrections
Maintain security files at office and ensure contents are complete and up to date
Conduct initial security training and refresher briefings for all employees
Assist with quarterly audits to ensure security records are up to date
Assist with sending VAR’s/VAL’s to customers when necessary and in a timely manner
Help to ensures compliance with the NISPOM
Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:
Associate’s Degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
At least .5 - 1 year previous experience working in personnel security or background investigations
Computer skills required: MS Office, Outlook, JPAS

This position is performed in a traditional office environment.
