PAE has an opportunity for a Senior Discovery IT Expert, with a home base at our Ashburn, VA offices. In this role, you will be supporting our Litigation Support Services business within the National Security Solutions sector, providing expert-level consultation helping to ensure the excellence of delivery of services to our clients.

  • In this role, you will consult with various client stakeholders including case managers, Contract Leadership, and Case Attorneys as to system requirements and technical approaches.

  • Based on information gathered from such consultations, you will determine system and project requirements, scope of effort, and approach.

  • Based on those requirements, plans, and scope, you will design systems and solutions to meet those requirements

  • On smaller projects, you may perform the entire range of technical support, including data file conversions, program validations and testing, etc.

  • You will do systems and software evaluations, and recommend, implement, and/or execute adjustments.

  • You will direct and supervise personnel assigned to task orders, ensuring conformance to work and technical design requirements, plans, and standards.

  • You will ensure completion of work, timeliness of deliverables, and quality control for all development, implementation, and execution efforts.

  • You will prepare and/or review system/technical documentation, including final approval, depending on the implementation.

  • You will organize and conduct user training sessions, if necessary for higher level functions, including preparing training material and training manuals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance to include a background investigation.

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in a litigation/discovery environment.

  • Experience setting up, populating, troubleshooting, maintaining, documenting, and training users in databases.

  • Broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation, discovery systems and tools, and PC or server based DBs and applications.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must have experience with:

  • Discovery systems applications development

  • Object Oriented Analysis, Design, & Programming

  • Multi-tier Transaction Based Applications

  • System Security Requirements

  • Integration of COTS tools into an overall system

  • .NET

  • SQL, Oracle, ASP, and/or HTML

  • Windows and Unix

  • C#, Delphi, Perl, C/C++, Python, PowerShell

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred; preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines.

  • Experience with Reporting tools such as Cognos, DOMO, Tableau, DecisionPoint, Crystal, or Qlikview

  • Experience in Groovy Programing Language for Java platform

  • Experience with Modeling and Simulations

  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)

  • 5+ years of experience in C# or Java; 5+ years of experience with Java based open source framework /.NET framework

  • Experience with DevExpress Web UI controls

  • 5+ years of software design experience and sound understanding of object oriented and distributed computing concepts

  • Experience in designing and implementing ASP.NET Web Services

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, is a self-starter, embraces continuous learning and improvement
