Order Clerk ll - Food Services

The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.

Responsible for assisting the Food Services Manager in the daily operations of the Commissary & Main Dining Facility and performing clerical and general office duties on the AUTEC Project.


  • Assist with office management, writing correspondence, and ordering of supplies.

  • Provide excellent customer service and establish a working relationship with vendors, customers from all levels of the contract, and all employees within the department.

  • Maintain a variety of financial and other records per ISO and contract standards.

  • Perform accurate data entry.

  • Assist in all levels of the inventory procedures.

  • Provide the Main Dining Facility with all necessary forms for the daily operations and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • 2 years related experience working in an institutional type food service environment.

  • 2 years of data entry experience in a Windows based environment.

  • Valid Drivers License and passport will be required.

  • Ability to multi-task, learn and implement new programs/procedures and be flexible in a fast paced environment.

  • Self motivated, detail oriented, and capable of working with limited supervision.

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.

  • This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
