Warehouse Logistics Coordinator, Public Works

The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.

Provides Logistics/Materials coordination and support to the Public Works division on the AUTEC project.


  • Monitors and maintains supply/warehouse records.

  • Prepares material requisitions and issue of supplies and equipment from warehouse.

  • Assists the Facilities Engineering Department team with ordering and tracking of materials for all projects on a daily basis.

  • Prepares correspondence required to accompany reports and responses.

  • Requires interface with PAE and host nation employees on a recurring daily basis.

  • Order as needed and then issue all materials and supplies needed by Public Works Departments.

  • Track all material ordered through Maximo to assure that they arrive to AUTEC in a timely manner.

  • Acts as a security escort on occasion.

  • Acts as backup for material coordinators in Utilities and Facility Maintenance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Previous warehouse or logistical experience preferred.

  • Job can be physically demanding and must have ability to lift/handle supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work in an open warehouse with no air conditioning in a semi tropical environment.

  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products required; to include, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Maximo, TLS, and Treefrog preferred.

  • Must have ability to multi-task, learn and implement new programs/procedures, and be flexible in a fast paced multi-cultural work environment.

  • Self-starter with exceptional integrity and the ability to work under limited supervision.

  • Driver’s License and US passport will be required.

  • Special Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Must be able to reside unaccompanied in a remote location with limited medical facilities.

  • This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
