PAE is seeking individuals to serve as an experienced Operations Team Lead for the Marine Corps Engineer School (MCES). MCES supports the operating forces’ C-IED training requirements through the employment of the Mobile Training Cadres(MTCs) located at various Home Station Training Lanes (HSTL). MCES provides pre-deployment C-IED training in six specific C-IED Training Courses (CTCs). Training services will include C-IED initial and sustainment training, C-IED integration at Mountain Training Warfare Training Center (MWTC,) along with providing exercise evaluation and assessment support.

The MCES Training Operation Team Lead is responsible for managing the Defeat the Device (DtD) Operations section that directly supports the DtD Branch Head and MCES operating forces’ C-IED training requirements through the employment of Mobile Training Cadres (MTC). The MCES Training Operation Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that all training is delivered in accordance with USMC standards. The Training Operation Team Lead supervises and directs the production and update of Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Training Courses (CTCs) supporting Marine Corps C-IED Training. He/She supervises the training and manning of Mobile Training Teams that support this effort by developing and delivering C-IED training to Marine Corps Operational units and personnel.

Experience and Education:


Must possess a current Secret Clearance.

U.S. Citizen with ability to proficiently communicate in the English language.

Minimum 10 years military experience (USMC) with honorable discharge.

Previous military experience within a Battalion (or equivalent) level in an Operations Section.

Military career-level professional military education completion (USMC Expeditionary Warfare School or Service equivalent).

Expert knowledge and experience of Marine Corps engineer organization, functions, and capabilities as applied to MAGTF operations.

Knowledge of the latest technological advances in C-IED.

Knowledge of joint, multi-service interaction, and ability to apply various service methods and techniques for C-IED.

Understanding of adult learning methodologies with the ability to articulate and implement them through the development of USMC SATE compliant curriculum.

Ability to professionally facilitate high­ level meetings, conferences, and seminars requiring on the spot decisions.

Expert Knowledge of Marine Corps experimentation and concept development through MCWL, MCCDC, HQMC, and Joint Forces Command and how to apply to C-IED doctrine.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Good proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office).


Served at the enlisted rank of E-8 or above or officer rank of O-4 or above with honorable discharge Military intermediate-level professional military education completion (USMC Command and Staff College or Service equivalent).

Previous military experience at a Formal Learning Center (School).

Experience working within a joint military environment.
