Contract Security Officer

PAE Professional Services LLC is seeking a Contract Security Officer (Contract Special Security Officer) for the Falls Church, VA location. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Act as a liaison between agencies, stakeholders, management, and team members.

  • Manage the security processes, priorities and workload in accordance with program needs and ensures the timely completion of tasks, quality measures, and mission requirements.

  • Develop and implement organizational training initiatives to maximize team performance under the provisions of section 731.202 of title 5, Code of Federal Regulations, National Industrial Security Program and Intelligence Community Directives.

  • Management of all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security activities which includes document/visitor control, personnel security and the security aspects of classified contracting.

  • Build and manage productive relationships with security departments within Intelligence Community (IC) agencies.

  • Provide Security guidance to Human Resources, Recruiting, Contracts and Senior Management.

  • Assists with Security employment screening interviews.

  • Oversight of the processing of visit requests and certifications.

  • Oversight of subcontractor, consultant and employee compliance with contract and PAE security requirements, guidelines and procedures.

  • Responsible for interpreting policies and develops/implements appropriate security plans and procedures.

  • Responsible for ensuring security compliance of programs supporting Intelligence Community customers.

  • Responsible for all administrative inquiries, conducts investigations of non-compliance.

  • Develops, Coordinates and conducts Industrial Security briefings and debriefings in concert with other aspects of the PAE Security Education program.

  • Supports Requests for Proposal and other business development efforts with security expertise and writing contributions to submitted opportunities.

  • Lead security transition activities across the Intelligence Community portfolio.

  • Pass and exceed minimum expectations within government assessments and inspections.

  • Apply incident management, problem solving, and task performance. Produce finished documentation; e.g., reports, special studies, policy and procedure development, security designs, training programs and assessments.

  • Provide research and technical support to projects, produce solutions and documentation, and monitors project tasks and schedules.

  • 8+ years Program Security management experience to assess, analyze, mentor, and oversight national security program . Enforce organizational policies and coordinate with Client, Human Resources, Legal and management in instances of non-compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • US citizenship required. This position requires a minimum of an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Candidates who do not currently hold this level of clearance may not be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a combination of college and work experience or 5-12 years related Industrial Security and management experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Must be experienced with Intelligence Community standards, processes and procedures; familiarity with the NISPOM required.

  • Must be able to accurately interpret government guidelines/requirements, organizational policy and convey it to team members.

  • Must be proficient in Security Records Management requirements, processes, tools and/or software.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Successful completion of an Intelligence Community polygraph.

  • Classification Management and/or FSO certification preferred.

  • Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in one or more security and/or intelligence discipline and experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies preferred.
