- Job Description PAE is seeking an Arabic Linguist/ Cultural Advisor to provide translation, interpretation, and cultural advisement support to multiple OCONUS locations. Primary responsibilities include:•Provide translation and cultural advisement support to PAE CIED trainers as they conduct training of partner force personnel in austere environments. This includes but is not limited to: •Interpret rapid oral conversations between English and target languages•Demonstrate effective translation (written/spoken) of technical subjects from Arabic to English and English to Arabic•Perform quality control of target language translations and transcriptions during meetings/discussions as required•Develop and implement translation methodology and quality control procedures and standards•Work with a diverse training audience to ensure modules of instruction, conversation, and training guidance is accurately translated from Arabic to English/English to Arabic•Provide cultural advice to PAE CIED trainers to facilitate the presentation of training modules Required Qualifications: •A minimum of a High School diploma coupled with 8+ years of experience, OR a Bachelor's degree coupled with 2+ years of experience; OR A Master’s with 0+ years of experience •Fluent in spoken and written English, and Arabic•Possess an active Secret Clearance•Possess a valid US Passport•Ability to meet minimum requirements for OCONUS deployment•Willing to deploy overseas •Willing to live/work in austere environments Additional Desired Qualifications: •Fluent in spoken and written Kurdish and or Syrian dialects•Previous experience supporting U.S. CIED training efforts in OCONUS theaters•Current Top Secret Clearance
