PAE SCORE is actively seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance II (Boat Driver) to provide support to the Southern California Offshore Range (SCORE) Contract located at San Clemente Island, CA.

Essential Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Launch, recover, perform routine maintenance, operate and navigate small watercraft (up to 100 gross registered tons) and associated equipment at near coastal waters in proximity of San Clemente Island.

  • Maintain repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices.

  • Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode.

  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum three years experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic systems.

  • Ability to maintain and operate, high and low power radar, and microwave components.

  • Proficiency in the use of a wide range of electronic test equipment; and able to interpret engineering drawing and sketches.

  • Experience with Motorola radio networks, synchro/servo systems; fiber optics, HF, VHF, UHF, and acoustic transmitters and receivers

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain an Interim Security Clearance (or transfer) in a timely manner, and maintain a US Government (DoD) Secret Clearance

  • Must have a valid driver's license

Desired:

  • ​Knowledge of experience in all aspects of current naval training tactics and training scenarios is highly desirable.

  • Outboard engine maintenance and repair

  • Proficient written and verbal English language skills.

  • Ability to stand, see, reach, balance up to 50 lbs. (75%) and lift up to 50 lbs. (25% - 50%)

  • Physically fit and capable of spending extensive hours in support of range operations.

  • Must be able to swim, physically fit and capable of spending extensive hours at sea in all weather conditions.

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited trade school, applicable military service program or proven performance gained through experience in the field of electronics maintenance and repair

  • Knowledge of military operations
