Database Administrator

PAE SCORE is actively searching for a Data Base Administrator to support the Southern California Offshore Range (SCORE) contract at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Install, configure, maintain, integrate and administer Oracle databases at the Naval Air Station North Island, Southern California Offshore Range (SCORE) contract, San Diego, CA.

  • Perform database administrator functions for existing and future Oracle kernel servers and Oracle/Weblogic forms and reports application servers.

  • Database administrator functions will include data repository backup, performing Oracle software updates, and migration to future Oracle releases in a DoD Information Assurance compliant manner.


  • Experience performing database administration functions in a Linux and Microsoft Windows environment using SQL, PHP, HTML, and shell scripting languages is required.

  • Four (4) years administrator experience with Oracle database design, management, and tuning is required.

  • Four (4) years experience in system and network administration. COMPTIA Security+certification.

  • Two (2) years administrator experience with Oracle/Weblogic forms and reports application servers is required.

  • Experience with PHP, HTML, MS Windows, Linux, and Java

  • Must be a US citizen and be able to acquire a Secret Security Clearance.


  • Candidate will be proficient in written and verbal English Language skills.

  • Candidate must be able to stand 50-75% of the time, and lift 50 lbs 25-50% of the time.

  • Experience with backup systems, MS Windows OS and Active Directory, Linux, Oracle, and PKI is desirable.

  • A Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, Mathematics or Systems Analysis degree, or related field.
