Program Manager

PAE seeks a Program Manager for a potential opportunity supporting a US Department of State AFRICAP program.

The Project Manager shall bear ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all work required under a contract is performed satisfactorily. The Project Manager will serve as the U.S. government’s primary point of contact for all technical matters pertaining to a contract. The Project Manager assures timely delivery of quality work products and services associated with accounting and financial systems, budget control, and financial management functions. The Project Manager serves as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members. The Project Manager reports to the COR and AF/USSESSS program office staff. The Program Manager provides updates on project activities and is responsible for compiling data deliverables for submission to the appropriate U.S. government entities identified in Section 14 of this PWS. The Project Manager shall be capable of moderate physical exertion and conduct travel and work in a hot climate with limited support infrastructure.

Qualifications :

  • Must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited institution.

  • Must possess a minimum of three (3) years program/project manager experience or executive of senior management experience.

  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of senior-level experience in international development and training programs. Strong communication and facilitator skills are required.

  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an austere environment, preferably Africa.

  • Proficient with personal computers and capable of using Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Acquired graduate degree in business, area studies, international relations, security affairs, political science, and/or war college graduate or related field.

  • Familiarity of the South Sudanese armed forces is preferred.

  • A minimum of one year work experience in the country, or educational background/coursework focused specifically on South Sudan. Either the work experience or the educational coursework shall be explicitly noted in the resume.

  • Over five (5) years’ experience as a program or project manager.Executive experience.

  • Degree in Juris Prudence or in related field.
