Site Lead

The Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Site Lead candidate should be able to demonstrate a superior knowledge base of the Unmanned Aerial System, troubleshooting skills, the programming of all components, mechanical repairs and logistics. The Subject Matter Expert (SME)/ Site Lead should have completed at least one successful deployment as Site Lead for a minimum of six months. The SME should review a current copy of the contract and possess a complete understanding of the responsibilities that are expected for the Site and the Program.

The SME must be a qualified Field Service Representative and capable of maintaining the leadership role. The SME must demonstrate the ability to lead and manage all assigned field service representatives. The SME must possess the ability to train both the client and personnel on all operations and system capabilities. In order to perform all the task required of the Site Operations, the SME must understand the Statement of Work. Meeting all the demands of the client- per contract is the objective; however, the SME should be capable of presenting concerns to the client when appropriate.

The responsibilities of the SME will entail Communications, Team Responsibility, Client Interfacing, Statement of Work requirements and the operations of the site.

  • Communications

  • Pre and Post daily operational details to the client and all members of the team.

  • Submission of Daily SITREP’s, accident reports and logistics to the Program Managers and the Supervisors.

  • Respond to all inquiries from PAEISR Management.

  • Responsible for answering the questions of the client and subordinates.

  • Will develop a continuity binder in order to capture all relevant information for replacement Site Leads.

  • Team Responsibility

  • Fostering a Team Environment

  • Ensure the team’s appearance is neat and professional.

  • Ensure all members are in good health.

  • Identify and resolve challenges with the team.

  • Utilize a rewards and discipline approach for personnel.

  • Educate FSR’s that have problems with the system.

  • Client Interface

  • Follow the set Chain of Command and always keep the Program Manager apprised of possible situations: FSR/ Spoke Site Lead/ Site Lead/ Theater Lead/ LNO/ Commander.

  • Present the capabilities and limitations of

  • Aircraft

  • Flight Operations

  • Equipment per the contract funding

  • Meeting SOW requirements

  • Operations

  • Complete all daily tasking as long as there are no safety violations.

  • Maintain the site and equipment to prevent any lapse in operational readiness.

  • System Knowledge

  • Set up of a Site

  • Equipment Upgrades, AIS, MWIR, etc.

  • Building Map Packs

  • Troubleshooting Skills

  • Emergency Procedures

  • GS and aircraft faults

  • Mechanical Repairs

  • Know how to set up and calibrate

  • Antenna

  • Launcher

  • Know how to set up and break down the systems

  • SME will have an understanding of Logistics,

  • Inventory Management

  • Understand requirements for Shipping and handling

  • Proper documentation for all Return Merchandise Authorizations

  • ILC- know what the process is

On levels of Safety Awareness, the SME is the Final Authority on Safety of Flight operations.

*Candidate will be expected to perform duties for a period of 4 months OCONUS followed by two months in a Casual status, followed by 2 months Operational support at PAEISR HQ in Sterling, Virginia.
