Job Description

Responsibilities :

Performs depot level repairs as required. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems including those that cannot be solved through reference of manufacturer’s manuals, technical orders, etc., pertaining to the operations and maintenance of electronic/electrical equipment and aircraft associated with the aerial target’s contract. Inspects, repairs, maintains, services, rebuilds, troubleshoots, overhauls, and modifies FSATs, SSATs, GRDCS, Range Communications, TPSI 63 Radar and associated equipment in accordance with all applicable Technical Publications. Will be required to perform work of a lower technical level. Typical work may include: Using special test equipment to certify operation (ASTS, DLS test set, network analyzer, TDR, etc.), troubleshoot and repair data link systems, troubleshooting and repair aircraft and associated support equipment at a depot level, configuring aircraft, and supporting operational requirements. Assists in modification development and documentation, modifications and equipment research Provides technical data for AFTO Forms 22, MDRs, QDRs, etc. Will be able to enter all maintenance actions into appropriate Air Force forms. Provides training as required to equal to or lower-level employees. Provides technical guidance. Performs maintenance and other duties (incidental and related tasks within their classifications) assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Engineering or similar discipline/experience. F-16 avionics experience desired. Experience performing organizational maintenance of military aircraft avionics and electrical systems to include experience in automated flight systems. Individual must be able to perform tasks to the intermediate level as described in the job description with minimal qualification training. Management may allow work experience to be substituted for degree depending on the type of experience. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work week may shift to other days due to mission requirements. Report time to work varies depending upon mission schedule. Some overtime will be required.
