General Clerk II-Senior Clerk

Position: General Clerk II-Senior Clerk

Location: Washington, DC

PAE has an opportunity for a General Clerk II-Senior Clerk to join our team on our Federal Government contract in Washington, DC. In this role, you will provide high level administrative support for our client.

Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Enters, verifies and ensures accuracy of data from a wide variety of sources and in a wide variety of formats.

  • Shall comply with Office of Personnel Management’s Guide to Personnel Record Keeping and the Guide to Judiciary Policy Records Management.

  • Tracks and verifies data validity.

  • Resolves data integrity issues and coordinates with other areas.

  • Shall verify and validate 100% of the documents scanned and imported into our client’s electronic official personnel folder.

  • Shall view and correct if necessary all newly transmitted images.

  • Review overall image quality, legibility, completeness, alignment, and indexing is appropriate complete and accurate.

  • Provides training in data entry procedures and processes.

  • Shall identify discrepancies with labels and/or misfiled documents.

  • Shall alert the Project Manager when issues are identified.

  • Clean folder & Transfer New request to other agencies.

  • Clean folder & Transfer Separations to our client’s personnel records center.

  • Acknowledge transfer receipt from gaining agencies.

  • Prepare Dead File Manifest Excel spreadsheet for Prior History Official Personnel Folder that will go back to the Records Center

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

The Basic Qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive 7-year criminal and credit history background check

  • Must successfully complete a drug screening

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

  • Must have a current Public Trust Clearance

Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of office experience with general business software products. Enterprise Human Resources Integration (EHRI) a plus

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others

  • Ability to show initiative and commitment to the company’s goals

  • Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements

  • Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times

  • Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications

  • Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 10-20 lbs, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a traditional office environment.
